The West Virginia Woodturners Association provides its members with many opportunities to develop and expand their turning skills and creative interests.

Lathes and Lasagna

Bill Sproul opens his shop twice a month when members get together to work on turning projects and exchange ideas and techniques. Lathes and Lasagna sessions are held on the first and third Tuesday evenings of each month for members to get together, turning is from 4 pm until whenever with dinner and dessert served around 7 p.m. Dinner and dessert are provided by one of the turners.

Mentoring

Club members with a variety of interests and skills serve as mentors to individuals who seek to develop their own skills and techniques. Check the Mentor Page to see the areas where mentors are available.

Demonstrations

Every monthly meeting includes a demonstration presented by either a Club member or a professional turner. Check the Schedule Page for information about previous and future demonstrations.

Club Challenges

Several times a year, members are presented with a Club Challenge to encourage the development of a skill or the design of an object that includes a specific element. Check the Home Page to learn more about the current Club Challenge.
